Rudy's Pizza

A chicken shop, a crazy golf bar, an indie cafe and more – here’s everything you need to know about the six new arrivals planning their Leeds openings.

There’s one for chicken lovers, another for coffee aficionados and something for pizza preachers – this is a jam-packed batch of soon-to-open bars, cafes and restaurants preparing their launches in Leeds in the next few months. Three familiar favourites are expanding their already-acclaimed presences across the city, while a trio of new names will soon be making the city home. Check out what’s on the way and what they’re bringing to Leeds.

Cult Wing

Love chicken? Cult Wing will be your new go-to. This impending Merrion Centre arrival takes chicken wings and gourmet burgers and gives them a sprinkling of punk energy. You can choose your heat level when it comes to the wings, from mild to extra hot for the brave, while burgers come stacked high and mighty. It’s not just about food – it will have its own late-night bar you can visit separately, serving up craft beer, themed cocktails and tequila all night long.

Cult Wing is opening in Merrion Centre, Leeds in Summer 2022.

Golf Fang

Big Fang Collective are the doyens of crazy golf experiences and they’re bringing their Golf Fang brand to Kirkstall later this year. You can look forward to a barmy 18-hole mini-golf course built into unique themed spaces decorated by graffiti artists. The focus here is on fun competitiveness with a bar you can visit pre and post-round, serving up cocktails and craft beers with more than a hint of theatre. Throw in street food and DJs, you’re in for a hell of a time.

Golf Fang is opening on Redcote Lane, Kirkstall in Autumn 2022.

Rudy’s Pizza

Rudy's Pizza

Rudy’s is already a much-loved city centre pizzeria, but now it has its sights set on the suburbs, with a new restaurant preparing to open this summer in Chapel Allerton. They’re taking over the former Casa Mia to serve up delicious Neapolitan pies that come with a perfectly thin crust and bubbled edges, made using 24-hour fermented dough prepared daily on-site. Topped with classic combinations and adventurous pairings, Rudy’s promises pizza paradise.

Rudy’s Pizza is opening on Stainbeck Lane, Chapel Allerton in July 2022.

Rabbit Hole Coffee

Cafe, coffee

You may have sampled their wares at pop-ups within Harvey Nichols and Chophaus or at events across the North, now the Leeds-based Rabbit Hole Coffee are preparing to open their first independent coffee shop in Moortown sometime during July. They use ethically sourced coffee from Caravan Roasters, paired with organic milk from Acorn Dairy to make their brews which go down smoothly with treats from Black Day Bakes and Balterzens Bakeri.

Rabbit Hole Coffee is opening on Stainburn Drive, Moortown in Summer 2022.

Dastaan

Dastaan

There’s a new Indian restaurant opening in Adel later this month and Dastaan promises an experience like few other Indians offer. Owned by Nand Kishor and Sanjay Gour, it’s the second Dastaan, following the Bib Gourmand-acclaimed first in Epsom and it promises a Mayfair fine dining take on authentic dishes of the subcontinent. They take regional favourites and give them a modern twist, from the kasundi mooli lamb chops to the kodampuli malabar prawns.

Dastaan will open at 473 Otley Road, Adel on Wednesday 27th July 2022.
