A brewery, a sports shop and a street food joint – they’re all opening in Leeds over the next few months.
As lockdown eases and the city begin to reopen, all those companies who were planning to open in Leeds are starting to plot again. In fact, we have three more to add to the list this week and it’s a stellar batch. There’s a brewery from a local beer expert, a street food joint with a rotating line up of vendors and a big name sports shop that’s been a long time coming.
One of the biggest sports shops in the world will finally land in Leeds in 2021. Decathlon is taking over the unit underneath Primark that used to be BHS. It’s going to be their new Northern flagship store, a place where you can get everything from cycling gear to running shoes, swimwear and camping equipment. They’re also installing a state-of-the-art bike, ski and racket servicing centre.
Decathlon opens in Trinity Leeds in Spring 2021.
Caboose is a new street food joint in Garforth. They’ll welcome an ever-changing line-up of vendors into the fold, so you can tuck into burgers one week and lobster the next. It’s not just the food that’s great, though. They’re also going to have a craft beer bar, which will stock everything from North Brewing Co to Northern Monk, Roosters and Magic Rock.
Caboose opens in Garforth in Summer 2020.
Amity Brew Co.
Having worked for BrewDog, North Brewing Co and Beer Hawk, Russ Clarke is finally going it alone with Amity Brew Co. It’s a new craft brewery at Sunny Bank Mills that will specialise in classic beer styles. Their core range features a Helles Lager, an IPA and an Extra Special Bitter, which you can already buy from their online shop. The beers have been released ahead of the opening of its 2,500 square foot brewpub, which is set to be completed in November.
