Another month, another five incredible new openings – here’s everything you need to know.

Five! That’s right, there are five new openings coming soon to Leeds and we’ve got all the details. There’s a bar dedicated to video games, a city centre hotel in a prime location and two new craft beer joints on the same street. But that’s just the beginning, so if you want to know where you’ll be spending your time in the coming years, take a look at the full list.

If you love video games, you’re going to be hyped about Pixel Bar. It’s a brand new esports bar dedicated to gaming. You can play the latest games on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, sign in to your own gaming accounts on their PCs or step back in time on one of their many vintage machines. While you’re there, head to the bar for craft beer and cocktails or grab a plate of something nice with a custom menu from their neighbours Almost Famous.

Pixel Bar will open on Great George Street on Saturday 28th September 2019.

Shakeaway

The world’s biggest milkshake bar company is opening in Trinity Leeds. Shakeaway have stores all over the world, but this is their first in Yorkshire. From mango & peach to Maltesers & coffee, you can choose from over 180 fresh ingredients to make your perfect milkshake. But that’s not all – there’s also do smoothies, frozen yoghurt and low-fat fries.

Shakeaway will open in Trinity Leeds on Saturday 21st September 2019.

The Banker’s Cat

Thornbridge Brewery beers

Thornbridge Brewery will open their first pub in West Yorkshire before the end of the year. The Banker’s Cat will take over the old Ladbrokes on the corner of Boar Lane and Mill Hill. They’re going to transform the space and show off their modern take on a traditional pub. You can try all their popular brews like Jaipur IPA, Lukas Helles Lager and Crackendale Citra, alongside small batch beers and guest selections from their favourite breweries.

The Banker’s Cat will open on Boar Lane by the end of 2019.

Victoria Gate Hotel

It feels like it’s only been open for five minutes, but there’s a big expansion on the horizon for Victoria Gate. Plans have been revealed for a 14-storey hotel right next to the multi-storey car park. The design takes inspiration from the geometric pattern facades of the neighbouring shopping arcade and car park. Once complete, it will have 205 bedrooms, a conferencing suite and meeting spaces.

Victoria Gate Hotel is still in its planning stages and an opening date is to be confirmed.

Beer Hawk already delivery quality craft beers all over the world, but now they’re opening up a new bar in Ambler House on Boar Lane. It’s their first outside of London, and once it’s open, you’ll be able to try loads of amazing beers on tap and in bottles with an every-changing range to choose from. If you like what you find, but don’t want to stay, you can pick up your favourites home in their bottle shop.

Beer Hawk will open on Boar Lane by the end of 2019.
