Simon Rimmer’s first Leeds restaurant
Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer is one of the most famous TV chefs in the country and he’s set to open his first restaurant in Leeds in March. He’s got two popular restaurants in Cheshire and Greater Manchester already, but this is his first across the Pennines. The location and name are yet-to-be-confirmed, but he has revealed on TV that their freshly made pizza will be ‘really good’.
Simon Rimmer’s first Leeds restaurant is set to open in Leeds in March 2020.
Frankster’s will bring one of their classic diners to Leeds city centre this year. They’re opening in the Merrion Centre for indulgent breakfasts like massive fry-ups and stacked pancakes, but their main offering is served from lunchtime. Gourmet burgers made with 100% Angus beef come topped with simple combinations like Monterey Jack cheese, caramelised onions and a secret Frankster sauce. If you don’t want a burger, try their peri-peri chicken – you have six different heat levels to choose from!
Frankster’s opens in Merrion Centre in 2020.
Oba Kitchen & Mi’s Vermicelli
Hang Sing Hong is a much-loved Oriental supermarket on Vicar Lane, but they’ve got something even more exciting lined up for you in 2020. They’re taking over two units in the Merrion Centre to open two new restaurants. The first is Oba Kitchen, a new Korean and Asian fusion eatery where you can enjoy curries, noodles and soups. The second is Mi’s Vermicelli, a Chinese restaurant that will serve classic dishes and unusual creations.
Oba Kitchen & Mi’s will open in Merrion Centre in 2020.
The Mobile Jazz Cafe
Greg Gallagher is a jazz drummer and coffee aficionado who’s brought his two loves together as The Mobile Jazz Cafe. This travelling coffee shop will take over BLK BX in Trinity Leeds for a month from Friday 10th January 2020. You can pop in and enjoy a cup of freshly roasted Union Coffee as a playlist of jazz music plays in the background – they’ll even have live bands from time to time. If you get peckish, try one of their homemade cakes – the white chocolate blondie is a must.
The Mobile Jazz Cafe comes to BLK BX in Trinity Leeds on Friday 10th January 2020.
