Six businesses that have been plotting and planning their post-lockdown arrival in Leeds. There are two new zero waste shops in the suburbs, there’s a pair of new hairdressers and you can even visit a new DIY salad place for your lunch. Read on to find out more!
Coach Gym was ready to open before lockdown kicked in, so they’re just waiting for the OK. It’s a boutique fitness studio with over 200 pieces of high-end fitness equipment, but that’s not what makes them stand out. You see, membership also gives you access to their Coach Classes, which take place in their state-of-the-art studio spaces.

MOP Hair Salon
Mop Hair Salon is taking over a historic building in Leeds city centre this summer. They’re creating a sustainable salon and green energy will power everything they do. Offering cuts for both men and women, their team of award-winning hairdressers and colourists will use the best professional and sustainable hair, including the likes of Biologe and Matrix.

Salade is a new lunch-to-go concept coming to the Woodhouse Lane frontage of the Merrion Centre. They offer a DIY menu – you will choose all your proteins, veggies and dressings which will then be turned into a tasty salad for you to takeaway. All other details are being kept under wraps for now, but with an opening date of this summer, it won’t be long before you can check it out.

Clean Bees EcoShop
Cleaning company Clean Bees is already an established name in Leeds, but this summer, they’re opening an eco-refill shop on Town Street in Farsley. Their aim is to provide low cost and low waste refill shopping, so you’ll be able to get everything from laundry detergents to washing up liquid, beeswax soaps and organic wax melts.

I Love Lucie Hair & Hair by Leah Luchia
There’s a brand new hair salon coming to Corn Exchange in the summer. I Love Lucie and Hair By Leah Luchia are teaming up to create their own space and they’re going to open the doors as soon as they can. They’re specialists in vintage styles, so you can expect super-cool throwback look, but if you just want your usual do, they do classic cut and colours too.

Horsforth will get its first zero-waste shop this summer. Zero Muda is a new refill store that offers zero waste shopping through a brand new social enterprise that prides itself on caring for the environment. They will stock a wide range of whole foods, liquids and household products, which will all be sourced from local producers and manufacturers wherever possible.
