Pizza, craft beer and local produce – you’re going to love the latest additions to Leeds.
Ready to hear about the new openings coming soon to Leeds? Good, because we’ve got a bumper list for you this week. From a must-try lunch menu that champions local produce to a vegan delivery service that will bring dinner to your door and a pizza bar from a name we all know and love – there’s so much to be excited about here.
Craft Asylum #2
They’ve already opened their first bar on Granary Wharf, but Craft Asylum has another one lined up for East Parade. Expect a laid-back venue with an industrial chic decor and an obsession with craft beer. You can choose from 14 keg beers on tap, seven of which come from owners Salt Beer Factory in Saltaire. The other seven are reserved for guest breweries from across the UK. There’s loads more in the fridges, and if you fancy something different, you can take your pick from their handpicked selection of small-batch gins.
Craft Asylum #2 opens at 26 East Parade on Friday 30th November 2018.
Confession time – we’re pretty excited about OWT. It’s a new lunch-centric eatery in Kirkgate Market that’s 100% committed to using locally-sourced produce. In fact, everything on their menu has been made with produce bought from their neighbours in the market. The menu changes on a weekly basis, so you can always try something new, and it’s full of creative plates like Leek and Cheddar Sausages with Pickled Cabbage and Cider Sauce.
OWT opens at Leeds Kirkgate Market in November 2018.

The Veggie Table
The news that Mog’s Cafe in Kirkstall had closed was a hard blow for the city’s vegans, but fear not, because owner Morag Padel has revealed that she’s starting a new catering and online delivery service in Leeds city centre called The Veggie Table. Expect a host of lunchtime favourites, like baguettes, wraps and paninis, filled with quality vegan combinations. You’ll be able to order it all direct from Just Eat.
The Veggie Table will open on Millwright Street in 2019.
Silver Dollar Micro Bar
Silver Dollar Micro Bar is a craft beer haven that’s opening in Stanningley. Spread out across three floors, you can work your way through an impressive line-up of local cask ales, with global craft beers on keg and in the fridges. That’s not all – they’re also going to serve Guinness, lager, wine and a selection of flavoured gins. If you get hungry, you can feast on bar snacks, with a simple bar food menu to follow in 2019. It’s child and dog friendly too.
Silver Dollar Micro Bar will be opening on Richardshaw Lane, Stanningley in December 2018.
Granary Wharf favourite Livin’Italy is expanding. They’ve taken over a brand new venue on Cloth Hall Street, just next to the Corn Exchange, which simplifies the offering from their original restaurant by focussing solely on cocktails and pizza. They’re putting together a menu of classic and unique cocktails that will help wash down their handcrafted pizza menu. Expect traditional combinations and old favourites alongside brand new venue-specific toppings.
