Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) have released new visuals detailing their terminal expansion, which is set to open later this year.
A major redevelopment on Leeds Bradford Airport – dubbed LBA:REGEN – broke ground back in April 2024. Less than a year later, LBA have shared visuals of what the new terminal will look like, ahead of their scheduled opening date of summer 2025.
For over nine decades, LBA has been serving as Yorkshire’s largest airport, helping millions of passengers touch down in over 80 international destinations every year. But it’s the taking off that can be the real stress when travelling.

That’s what this £100 million terminal expansion aims to change. The latest visuals showcase what the terminal expansion will look like once complete. It features a new departure lounge, which boasts enhanced seating for tired legs, along with an improved dining and retail offering – so you can sup down those pre-flight pints in comfort.
Other designs demonstrate how the whole travel process will be streamlined, with a new baggage reclaim area and upgraded passport control area, complete with cutting-edge tech for a smooth and secure journey.
“We’re excited to share the new… visuals that offer passengers a preview of what’s to come at the airport,” said John Cunliffe, Commercial Director at Leeds Bradford Airport. “Our transformative terminal expansion is not only about creating a modern, comfortable airport experience for travellers but also about building a sustainable future for travel in the region.”
