Tap on Tap off for the ultimate in flexibility
First Bus has launched a new Tap on Tap off service that makes catching the bus even easier. Simply tap your card or phone when you board, then tap again when you leave and they’ll work out the fare for you, based on how far you’ve travelled. The daily price is capped at £5.20, so you’ll never pay more than that no matter how many times you ride, and you’ll get an extra discount for every day you travel in the same week. It’s the ultimate in flexibility and the perfect fit for our modern lives because you’ll only pay for what you use.
Save money when you make a return journey
Don’t worry, Day Tickets aren’t going anywhere – you can still get unlimited travel anywhere in West Yorkshire for just £5.20. But if you’re only going there and back, the new discounted Returns could be cheaper for you. Available on board when you pay by cash or contactless, they start at just £2.50 and rise to £3.20, £4.30 or £4.70 depending on how far you travel. Returns can make two-way journeys a little more affordable. For example, if you travel from Leeds to Bradford, a return is 50p cheaper than a Day Ticket.
Get a flexible ticket to fit your new work patterns
Flexible working is here to stay, so First Bus has created a trio of tickets to help you navigate your new normal. Their 3-Day Flex ticket gives you unlimited travel on any three consecutive days for £14, the 5-Day Flex promises unlimited travel on any five days in an eight-day period for £18 and the FlexiMonth offers unlimited travel on any 13 days within a 31-day period for £52. Don’t worry if you’re still working full-time, you can still get their usual FirstWeek and FirstMonth tickets.
