Good things come in small packages and North Bar is no exception. This long, skinny establishment is stocked with a smorgasbord of craft ales, rare delights from independent breweries as well as banging tunes and lovely staff. North Bar is one place that should never be underestimated.
It’s simply furnished, so your attention isn’t taken away from the real treasure – the booze. Apologies if you were looking for Carling, because you aren’t going to find any here. As well as their unparalleled collection of craft beers, North Bar pride themselves on their massive stash of rare spirits, bizarre soft drinks and amazing coffee.
North Bar is down the road from the Grand Theatre, a great shout for a pre-theatre drink and also hosts some fine art exhibitions too. It’s not really a stretch to say that North Bar caters to everyone.
The Observer crowned this place the ‘best place to drink in the UK’. They don’t give that out lightly, so let it be known how good North Bar truly is.
