Whilst The Wrens bills itself primarily as a hotel, it’s the pub that may well merit the most appreciation from Leeds folk. The Wrens has been a fixture in Leeds for just over a century and has managed to establish itself over the years as a pit-stop for actors and singers at the nearby Grand Theatre.
As you can imagine, even nowadays it’s a haunt for performers and visitors to the Grand Theatre alike. Leeds folks aren’t drawn through its doors by mere necessity alone however, the pub itself has much to offer in the way of food, drink and overall comfort.
Whilst the pub retains much of the charm that no doubt led to Leeds thespians frequenting it back in the day, it has undergone renovation in the last year and many of the furnishings are rather modern-looking, as with the marble bar surface. A rather small drinking space, try and grab a spot by the fire for a cosy drink in Leeds.
