Getting fit isn’t usually elevated to the status of a night out, but that’s exactly what’s in-store at TRIB3 on Tuesday 17th April 2018. At this exclusive event, you’ll get to try one of their intensive workouts before enjoying a glass of bubbly while you make smoothies, talk nutrition and grab a bite to eat. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg…
Do an intensive 45-minute workout & cool down in a club-like setting
The first thing you need to know is that TRIB3 isn’t a gym – it’s a boutique bootcamp. They run hardcore classes in a dark, atmospheric studio. It’s more like a club than a gym – the temperature’s turned down low and the music’s turned up loud as you push yourself to the limit.
It’s an intense experience that’s been specially designed to get the best out of you – and they’re pulling out all the stops for this event. You’ll be treated to a pre-workout shot before you head into the studio. It’s got caffeine to give you energy and beta-alanine to help your muscles endure intensive exercise. Once you’ve changed, you’ll get a tour of the studio and an introduction to what they do, before your workout starts in earnest.
You’ll do a little bit of everything – interval training on the treadmill, resistance training on the floor and high-intensity functional training. It’s an incredibly effective combination and you can burn anything between 300 and 500 calories in this mini 45-minute workout and cool down. You’ll be able to see exactly how hard you’re working too, because they use MyZone belts to track your heart rate, calorie burn and effort levels.
Meet the tribe with smoothie masterclasses, healthy eats & a nutritional talk
This isn’t just a workout. TRIB3 have turned working out into a night out with a series of fun, practical and downright tasty experiences lined up for you. You’ll start with a glass of prosecco, after all, you deserve it – and you can sup it while you listen to a short, informative nutritional talk from one of their personal trainers. Don’t worry, it’s not going to be anything heavy – they’re going to let you in on 9 easy changes you can make to your diet to get results.
One of the things they’ll no doubt cover is the fact there’s a golden 20-minute window after your workout – research has shown that if you consume 24 grams of protein in that time, your body will actually recover faster. So after your nutritional talk, you’ll head to the bar, where they’ll be holding their own smoothie masterclass.
They’ll show you how to make two of their most popular smoothies – the Chocolate Peanut Butter is made with chocolate whey protein, almond milk, banana, peanut butter and ice, while their Breakfast Smoothie brings vanilla whey protein, banana and almond milk together with oats, chia seeds and honey. As they work, they’ll talk you through the ingredients, the process and the science behind their smoothies – you’ll even get to have a go at making one yourself.
Finally, you can browse their health stalls. Sweaty Betty will be there with their fitness gear (and you can get an exclusive discount). Make sure you pay a visit to Clean Kitchen too. These guys do healthy meal plans, delivered to your door, and you can get a taste of their most popular dish – their Thai Meatballs. They’re made with lean turkey mince and served in a creamy, spicy Thai sauce with rice and broccoli. Veggie? Don’t worry, they’ll have Chickpea and Lentil Dahl for you.
