You’ve likely heard of Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair, they’ve been bringing their traditional vintage fairs and kilo sales to Leeds for years, but now they’ve got a new trick up their sleeves – and it’ll have your home looking spiffing.
Vintage chic is all the rage right now, with pre-loved furniture, chintzy crockery and retro decorations all seeing a second coming of late. And now you have another place to pick up those old world pieces, as the folk behind Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair bring their Leeds Vintage Furniture Flea to the Corn Exchange for the first time on Saturday 12th March 2016.
It’ll be their first foray into the North with the new furniture flea concept, but it has already proved extremely popular down South – and it’s easy to see why. The Leeds Vintage Furniture Flea is set to give us the same quality, style and mind-boggling choice as at their previous events, but with a focus on furniture and homeware, rather than clothes.
“The formula for the Flea is a simple one,” Event Manager, Donna Templeman, told us. “Gather eclectic vintage traders from all over the UK, check them for stylish, affordable furniture and homewares from the 1950s and on and set-up shop for the day.”
In fact, they have over 30 traders coming into Leeds from all over the UK, specially for the event, each bringing with them a completely unique selection of vintage finds. From bookcases to record players, ceramics to crockery, you never know what you’ll find. And there’s a little something for everyone, with prices starting at a few pounds for small items like cocktail shakers, while bigger items like furniture ranges from £40 up to a few hundred pounds for famous coveted brands like Ladderex and Ercol.
The Corn Exchange is the perfect venue for The Leeds Vintage Furniture Flea, it’s got more than a little old world charm itself, and Templeman sees it as a match made in heaven. “Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair has been holding events in the Corn Exchange for several years, we’re keen to build on that relationship with the venue and make it the Leeds destination for independent design & vintage. It’s a beautiful building which acts as a great backdrop to our fairs as well as being in a great location for shoppers.”
The Leeds Vintage Furniture Flea comes to Leeds Corn Exchange from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 12th March 2016. Entry is free.
