The first ever Leeds Does Vintage fair brings great vintage fashion and a day of old school fun to the city.
Leeds is full of great vintage stores, but now you’ll have even more choice as we welcome the first Leeds Does Vintage event to the city. It’s run by dynamic duo, Alex Claydon and Sam Agnew. They began hosting their award winning Britain Does Vintage fairs across the country in 2011 – but this is their first foray into Leeds.
“We’re so excited to bring our event to Leeds, it’s such a vibrant city steeped in culture, absolutely perfect for a vintage fair,” organiser Sam Agnew told us. And the girls couldn’t have picked a better venue to host the first Leeds fair, in The Leeds Club, a Grade II listed building that was once a private members club.
For just £2 entry, you’ll be able to sift through a smorgasbord of vintage dresses, skirts, tops and accessories that are sure to turn heads. But that’s just the beginning, as Leeds Does Vintage has a lot of surprises in store.
For starters, it’s not just about fashion. You’ll find a great range of crockery and homeware, with live music from Bobbi Pins as well as vintage-inspired workshops. Or why not take a break in the tea room, with a refreshing tea served up in dainty china your grandma would be proud of?
Ever wanted to rock victory rolls or pin curls? There will be plenty of vintage rollers and crimson lippy on hand to deliver makeovers as the fine folks at Leeds’ based Le Keux Vintage Salon help you release your inner 50s starlet.
Whether you’re a student looking for some inexpensive threads or label addict after vintage designer gems, there’s something for just about everyone.
Leeds Does Vintage will be held at The Leeds Club on Sunday 12th October 2014. Entry is £2.
