Who we’re looking for:

It goes without saying that you’ll need to have a way with words. We’re looking for someone who can write like they talk, someone who can turn content into a conversation and make complicated topics seem easy to understand. But more than that, we’re looking for someone who can use words to drive response.

We use a lot of different techniques, but you won’t need to know them all. You do, however, need a willingness to learn, because we believe in continual development at every level.

Experience required:

  • We’re considering graduates for junior copywriting roles and writers with 2+ years experience for midweight copywriting roles
  • Must be educated to degree level, ideally in a relevant course like English Literature

What you’ll do:

  • Take responsibility for content from brief to go live
  • Write high quality content on a wide range of subjects
  • Use virality, SEO, response marketing and data analysis techniques to drive traffic, engagement and response
  • Meticulously research content online, by phone and in person
  • Source and create high quality photography to support our written content
  • Monitor and analyse performance of content to report back to line manager
  • Manage the Leeds-List social media channels, planning, writing, posting content inline with internal strategies and procedures
  • Become a local expert who knows every nook and cranny of the city and the region
  • Use initiative to predict, manage and solve problems on your own
  • Contribute to idea generation to help create new content streams
