If you’re our winner, you’ll get to visit either De Baga venue for a night of incredible food and drink. The Headingley venue was De Baga’s first spot, with the Chapel Allerton restaurant opening more recently due to popular demand. While the menus vary slightly depending on which restaurant you visit, you can guarantee the same high standards across both.
You’ll find the Chapel Allerton venue right in the heart of the village. Inside it’s all warm lighting and lush greenery, with a statement bar in the centre of the restaurant. It’s not just for aesthetics either – De Baga’s huge drinks menu features everything from crisp IPAs to ultra-creative cocktails to go with your meal. You can even give Indian whisky a try!
The food is designed to celebrate the spirit of Goa – a place where East meets West. With Michelin-experienced chefs at the helm, dishes are made with premium ingredients, packed with flavour and served with immaculate presentation. You’ll find a huge amount of vegetarian and vegan dishes too – a testament to the authentic Indian nature of the menu.

So, where to begin? The chilli paneer is always a crowd-pleaser, while the fried squid is a real delight. As for the mains, expect rich curries like butter chicken, Goan fish curry and comforting daal makhani, with a fine selection of naans and soft bread to mop it all up. And you can’t go wrong with a sizzler – these showstopping platters are an experience in themselves, and the perfect way to try out the restaurant’s tandoor oven.
If you’ve got room for dessert, a portion of gulab jamun never goes amiss, or you can look towards the cocktail menu for a tempting nightcap. Our pick? De Baga’s indulgent take on the Espresso Martini – ‘Factory By Suta’ takes chai-infused vodka and mixes it with salted caramel syrup, Irish cream, coffee liqueur and mascarpone. Bliss.
