Bag this prize and you’ll get to enjoy brunch for up to four people at The Three Swords. Situated in Horsforth, the Kirkstall Brewery pub is a firm favourite with the locals, serving quality ale alongside home-cooked food from their resident kitchen, Karobar. They dish up refined Indian small plates from day to night, but weekend mornings serve up a remarkable breakfast.

You can expect insanely tasty, powerful flavours, nothing like what you’ll find elsewhere in Leeds. There’s the chilli cheese toast that packs a real punch, sheermal rolls packed with tomato-chilli jam and your choose of meaty filling, and the stunning Karobar omelette, served with creamy makhani sauce. Wash it down with a cup of soothing masala chai and you’re onto a winner.

With as much as possible cooked using the tandoor oven, it’s a far cry from your typical brunch. And if you really want to go all out, the Grand Indian Breakfast ticks all the boxes. This giant spread comes loaded with a masala omelette, crispy aloo tikki, bacon, sausage, a stuffed tomato and creamy cheese, with a round of homemade bread to mop it all up with. It’s enough to leave you needing a post-brunch nap!

This is a Kirkstall establishment, so drinks are never an afterthought. Go boozy with a Breakfast Margarita, get a caffeine kick with an Espresso Martini or keep it classy with a mimosa. Our pick? It has to be Karobar’s take on a Bloody Mary, which brings together ginger-infused vodka, tomato juice seasoned with house chilli sauce and a secret spice blend. Go spicy for the ultimate wake up call.
