Roundhay Festival. One of the biggest new additions to Leeds’ summer calendar arrives at Roundhay Park this July. Across three days, the festival brings headline performances from Pitbull and Lewis Capaldi, alongside special guests including Jason Derulo, Tinie Tempah and Conan Gray, before rounding off the weekend with a spectacular live orchestral performance. Leeds Pride. Leeds Pride returns this year to celebrate its 20th anniversary with its first-ever two-day event. Yorkshire’s largest LGBTQ+ celebration will fill the city with live entertainment, community celebrations, food and the iconic Pride parade across the weekend. With Baga Chipz, La Voix and Natasha Hamilton on the bill, it’s sure to be a weekend to remember.
England vs DR Congo. England begin the knockout stages of the World Cup as Thomas Tuchel’s side take on DR Congo on Wednesday 1st July 2026. With a place in the next round on the line, pubs and bars across Leeds are set to be packed with Three Lions fans.

FIFA World Cup Final. The biggest match in world football takes place on Sunday 19th July 2026 as the World Cup reaches a dramatic conclusion. Whether England make it or not, there’s sure to be a lively atmosphere across the city.
Kings of Leon. The Grammy-winning rock band bring their latest tour to first direct bank arena this July, with support from Scottish indie rock band The Snuts. Expect high energy crowds, huge singalongs and some of the band’s biggest anthems, from Sex On Fire to The Bucket.
Peter Kay. The Bolton funnyman returns for yet another night in Leeds, bringing his record-breaking arena tour to first direct bank arena for two nights of stand-up. Expect plenty of laugh-out-loud moments as one of Britain’s best-loved comedians returns to Leeds.

Sounds Of The City. Millennium Square’s annual outdoor concert series returns this July with headline performances from Alabama Shakes, Tom Odell, Wet Leg, The Human League and The Cribs, bringing live music to the heart of the city.
Opera North’s The Sound Of Music. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s much-loved musical arrives at Leeds Grand Theatre, bringing the classic story to life on stage with the backing of Opera North’s 40-piece orchestra. Running from Thursday 9th July to Saturday 1st August 2026, there’s plenty of chance to see it for yourself.
Leeds Summer Market & Festival. Temple Newsam hosts a day of independent traders, street food, live entertainment and family activities, making it the perfect excuse to spend a summer day outdoors. There’s something for all ages, all set within the spectacular estate.

Leeds Rhinos vs Bradford Bulls. One of rugby league’s fiercest local rivalries returns as Leeds Rhinos host Bradford Bulls this Magic Weekend. Headingley Stadium will be packed to the rafters, promising an unforgettable atmosphere for the West Yorkshire derby.
Sunrisers Leeds vs Southern Brave. The Hundred returns to Headingley this July as newly rebranded Sunrisers Leeds host Southern Brave. Get ready for fast-paced cricket, big hitting and a festival atmosphere as one of the summer’s biggest sporting competitions gets underway.
Leeds Street Feast. From Friday 24th to Sunday 26th July 2026, Millennium Square will be filled with a tasty lineup of Leeds’ best street food traders, live DJs and outdoor seating as Leeds Street Feast returns for a weekend of great food and live entertainment.

Kirkstall Abbey Comedy Festival. The UK’s largest open air comedy fair returns to Leeds, with top comics Jason Manford and Dara Ó Briain headlining the bill. The one-day event brings high profile comedians to the historic ruins of Kirkstall Abbey – a must for comedy lovers.
Oakwood Farmers’ Market. Held on the third Saturday of every month, Oakwood Farmers’ Market brings together local producers selling fresh food, baked goods and artisan products in the heart of the suburb. With everything from organic vegetables to local honey on offer, it’s the perfect chance to support local traders.
Yarnbury Beer & Music Festival. Held in Horsforth, this annual festival celebrates more than 60 real ales and ciders alongside live music, street food and family entertainment. This year’s programme also includes a special ABBA tribute night – get ready to dance!
