An indie brewery, a cocktail bar and a vintage clothes shop – that’s just three of another exciting batch of new openings on their way to Leeds.

We’ve got a fresh batch of exciting new openings to tell you about and there’s a little something for everyone. You can look forward to picking up cool new spectacles, tucking into delicious kebabs and finding natty vintage threads. That’s without mentioning the duo of craft beer and cocktail bars opening in the suburbs. Take a look at what’s coming our way so you can plan which one you’ll visit first.

Reluctant Hero Brew Co.

Brewery

There’s a new independent brewery coming to Leeds in the next few months. Reluctant Hero Brew Co. has taken over a small corner of Left Bank in Burley and they’re brewing up a storm. A lucky few have been taste-testing their first batch of keg American pale ales, ahead of their launch later in 2021. Expect big flavours from classic beer styles which you’ll be able to get from Left Bank and a host of Leeds bars soon.

Reluctant Hero Brew Co. is opening at Left Bank Leeds in 2021.

The Little Waxing Company

Waxing

The Little Waxing Company are a unique addition to Leeds’ health and beauty offering because they specialise in just one treatment – intimate waxing. The Brazilian is their forte, but they also offer Hollywood, underarm and G-string services. Founded in Wakefield, but making their way across to Chapel Allerton later in October, you can look forward to expert treatment from skilled professionals in a welcoming environment.

The Little Waxing Company is opening on 192a Harrogate Road on Saturday 29th October 2021.

Sqew

Sqew Kebabs

It popped up in BrewDog’s North Street kitchen earlier this year, but the time has come for Sqew to serve up their tasty kebabs at their first permanent home in Leeds city centre. They’re taking over the former Veeno wine bar on Duncan Street and you’re in for a treat with their delicious creations. Get ready for heaving pitas stuffed with fresh lamb shawarma and tasty salad bowls piled high with falafel and hummus.

Sqew is opening at 7 Duncan Street on Saturday 29th October 2021.

Number 8 Cocktails

Cocktails

Having been forced to leave their old home at Hatch in Manchester at the start of 2021, the folks behind Number 8 Cocktails have decided to cross the Pennines for their new base. They’re currently renovating the former Hungry Bear restaurant in the heart of Meanwood to create a cool new bar that welcomes you with a colourful mural facade and bright industrial decor. Even better, it’s topped off with a menu of quaffable cocktails and craft beer.

Number 8 Cocktails opens on 10-14 Stonegate Road, Meanwood in November 2021.

Hideout

Craft beer, brewery

The former Rudy’s Bar in Pudsey won’t be shut for much longer. It’s being transformed into the area’s newest watering hole and is just weeks away from opening. It’s the work of a trio of local couples who’ve worked tirelessly to give the place a makeover – it’s all wooden panels, industrial lighting and mis-matched furniture. If you’re a fan of either local craft beer, Yorkshire spirits or classic cocktails (or all three), you’re in for a treat.

Hideout opens on Lidget Hill, Pudsey in November 2021.

Blue Collar Boys

Vintage clothes

Love vintage clothing? Keep your eyes peeled for the arrival of Blue Collar Boys. They’re opening in the former Farah menswear shop in the Victoria Quarter just in time for Christmas. It’s time to refresh your wardrobe with their help – from vintage American sports tees and sweaters to old school tracksuits, pre-loved coats and retro denim, they’ve hand-picked the finest in throwback threads for the stylish folk of Leeds to rock.

Blue Collar Boys will open in 20 King Edward Street in late 2021.

Cubitts

Cubitts

Cubitts are modern spectacle makers and are moving into the Victoria Quarter in November. Using fine materials like Italian acetate, Japanese titanium and German hinges, they’re built to last, often repaired rather than replaced. They’ve also created a special collection inspired by Leeds, as well as working with local businesses like Northern Monk, North Star and Village to provide beer, coffee and reading materials while you wait.

Cubitts is opening in Victoria Arcade on Monday 8th November 2021.
