Another month means it’s time for a batch of new openings, and boy are these gooduns. From oh-so-luxurious aparthotels and mouthwateringly tasty cheesemongers to plans for a slow fashion store in Chapel Allerton, they’re all rounded up here just for you. Which one will you visit first?
The Old Police Station by Montgomery House
What was once Bennett Road Police Station has been transformed into a stunning aparthotel. You may have seen it being decorated over the past few months, but next week sees the official opening of Montgomery House take place!
The stylish monochrome facade gives way to an even more elegant interior, featuring an atrium bar packed with snacks, a meeting room and, of course, luxury bedrooms complete with bathrooms and kitchens.
The Old Police Station by Montgomery House opens on Friday 18th October 2024.
Metz Cheesemonger
Sunny Bank Mills is getting a new addition in the form of Metz Cheesemonger! Originally from Paris, owner Emmanuelle Metz has over 10 years of experience in the cheese industry in both Yorkshire and France.
While the final fittings are in place, there’ll be a little pop-up shop to tide fromage fans over, but we’ll have special cheeses created in-house, tastings and delicious wine to look forward to. We can’t wait!
Metz Cheesemonger will open this autumn.

Chapel Allerton, say hello to your brand new slow fashion store, Edit! From the team behind Marie Curie, it’s set to open its doors on Harrogate Road this month, just across from Aldi.
What is slow fashion, you ask? Well, it focuses on selling clothing made with a focus on sustainability as well as quality, so the shop itself will feature all of the charity’s best high-end high street and designer donations.
