Friday 14th February 2025
Paint a Pair: Kissing Swans. If you and your other half fancy getting creative for your Valentine’s date, look no further than Prime Pass’ Kissing Swans painting session. Taking place at Archive, you’ll each paint your half of a piece of art, putting it together at the end to create a whole piece of magic.
Miffy Trail. Inspired by Dick Bruna’s much-loved book ‘Miffy at the Gallery’, Leeds City Museum will be holding its very own Miffy Trail this weekend! Head on over and see if you can find Miffy in different places around the museum and spot the objects she’s looking at. Once you’ve found them all, head to the gift shop to claim your very own Miffy sticker.
Candlelight: Valentine’s Special. If you’re looking for romantic things to do in Leeds this weekend, head on down to Leeds City Museum for their Candlelight Valentine’s Special. Expect a whole host of romantic music from across the years performed live by a string quartet, from Elton John and Elvis Presley to Christina Perri and Celine Dion.

Bingo For The People. This Friday, Old Woollen’s Bingo For The People returns with a top cash prize of up to £750 and many other prizes to be won! Tickets are £8 each, which provides you with an equal stake in the evening’s games. There are lots of other prizes to win, too – remember, you’ve got to be in it to win it!
All Blood Runs Red. All Blood Runs Red explores the life of American pilot Eugene Bullard. The one-man show uses innovative storytelling to shine a light on a forgotten historical figure, told through a modern lens. Audiences will learn about his remarkable journey – from aviation pioneer to jazz drummer, spy and civil rights activist, touching on some of the most significant moments of the 20th century.
Valentine’s Slow Jamz. This Friday, guest DJ Alex FB will be hosting Valentine’s Slow Jamz at Headrow House! Perfect to attend with your other half or maybe just a group of mates, you’ll be dancing the night away to music from Aretha Franklin, Daniel Caesar, Earth Wind & Fire and so many more.

Grue. Be sure to explore the enchanting world of Grue, an immersive adventure at Bingley’s Damart Mill, this Saturday. It’s an opportunity for the whole clan to solve mysteries, explore magical settings and enjoy family-friendly craft workshops. Created by artist Steve Wintercroft and Yorkshire’s ARCADE, the enchanting landscape is even built entirely from recycled materials.
The Magic Flute. Theatre fan looking for things to do in Leeds? Opera North will bring Mozart’s most famous opera to the stage at Leeds Grand Theatre this weekend. You’ll join Prince Tamino, who’s on a quest to find love and happiness – armed with a magic flute and the bird-catcher Papageno, he must battle trials and tribulations to reach the imprisoned Pamina.
Hansel & Gretel. Don’t miss your chance to see Northern Ballet’s rendition of Hansel & Gretel at Leeds’ Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre this weekend! Perfect for little ones, this reimagined magical ballet for children follows Hansel and Gretel as they take a walk through the woods, unaware of the damage they’re leaving behind.
Myles Smith. This Saturday sees Myles Smith take to the stage at Leeds’ O2 Academy armed with his new album ‘We Were Never Strangers’. The British singer-songwriter recently broke into the industry, and you may know him for popular hits like ‘Stargazing’ and ‘Nice to Meet You’.
Hamilton. That’s right, Lin Manuel Miranda’s award-winning musical Hamilton is coming to Bradford! It follows the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War. With a score that blends hip hop, jazz, blues and more, there’s a reason Hamilton’s a cultural phenomenon.
Yorkshire Games Festival. If you’re a gaming fan, you’re sure to love the Yorkshire Games Festival. Taking place at the National Science and Media Museum, this family-friendly event will include industry and careers-focused talks, gaming fun, showcases and plenty more to be announced.

There’s a Monster in Your Show. If you’ve got little ones in tow and are looking for things to do in Leeds this weekend, look no further than Carriageworks Theatre’s ‘There’s a Monster in Your Show’. The story follows a group of performers who are getting ready for their show, but quickly discover they’re not alone – Little Monster wants to be in on the fun too!
Craft & Flea Market. Left Bank’s Craft & Flea Market is a must-visit if you want to shop small and local. An authentic twist on the traditional craft market, stalls have been handpicked based on their high quality, on-trend products, so expect illustration, vintage bric-a-brac, plants, jewellery and much more.
Royal Armouries Superheroes. If you want an action-packed Sunday, head to Royal Armouries for their Superheroes event. Free activities include a superhero meet and greet, a create-your-own comic strip workshop and a superhero academy where little ones can go through training with an agent! There are also three different shows for £3 per person, from ‘How to be a Hero’ to the ‘Big Battle Breakdown’.
