Travel into York the easy way with Park & Ride

Wondering how to travel into York? Your prize includes 20 adult return tickets for York Park & Ride – 10 for each person – so you can leave the city-centre traffic and parking hunt – and hopefully avoid any unnecessary bickering before your date has even begun.
If you’ve never used Park & Ride before, it couldn’t be easier. Simply choose the most convenient of York’s six sites, park for free and hop on the bus. Dedicated bus lanes help to keep the journey moving, so you should be in the city centre in around 15 minutes.

Start your date with 90 minutes of uninterrupted relaxation at The Spa at No. 1 York. You’ll experience its most luxurious ritual, the Top-To-Toe Glow, designed to leave you feeling thoroughly refreshed.
The treatment begins with an invigorating lemongrass back scrub, followed by a relaxing back, neck and shoulder massage. A foot scrub and massage will help you switch off, before an organic facial and scalp massage complete the treatment.

Set off on a self-drive river cruise

You don’t need any previous boating experience, as you’ll receive a safety briefing and everything you need before setting off. Then it’s over to you to take the wheel, set the pace and enjoy having your own boat on the Ouse.
Share a romantic dinner at Enoteca
Once you’re back on dry land, you’ll head to family-run Italian restaurant Enoteca for a two-course meal for two, complete with a mocktail or soft drink each.
You’ll be able to choose two courses each from the set menu. Start with the likes of Caprese or Tuscan ribs and wings, before moving on to dishes including lasagne, spinach and ricotta cannelloni or casarecce pollo pesto.
If you’re visiting on a Saturday, make sure you book an early table, as the set menu finishes at 6:30pm – just in time to continue your date at York Dungeon Lates.
Discover a darker side of the city at York Dungeon Lates
Your date is about to take a darker turn. York Dungeon Lates is an after-hours, adults-only experience that brings the city’s gruesome history to life with live actors, immersive sets and plenty of audience interaction.
Expect a darker and scarier take on the usual Dungeon tour, with extra twists, naughtier jokes and plenty of moments that’ll have you wondering whether to laugh or scream.
With Park & Ride services running into the evening, getting back to your car afterwards is easy too. Just remember to check the last bus from the city centre when planning your visit.
