If you’re our winner, you and a partner will travel up to Wenningdale Escapes, a glamping site nestled within the ultra-scenic Bentham Golf Course. Situated half a mile from the sleepy village of High Bentham in Lancaster, it’s wonderfully tranquil but very well-connected, with a train station just a stone’s throw away.
Enjoy a two-night break in your very own glamping pod
You’ll spend two nights in a private glamping pod. Handmade in Wenningdale’s own workshops, each pod is packed with all the essentials – a fully-stocked kitchenette, en-suite bathroom, a dining table and electric heating. There’s a TV should you need it, a patio area for those all-important alfresco brews and you can even bring your pooch.
With a bottle of prosecco and a welcome hamper packed with local produce waiting for you on arrival, you’ll be able to raise a glass to your new home. Fancy a few more scoops? There’s the 1922 bar and kitchen in the club house, alongside lots of lovely little pubs for you to peruse in the village.
If you want to play a round of golf, you can do it free of charge, whether you go for the full course or a swing on the driving range. Whichever you choose, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more scenic golf course than this, enjoying dramatic views of two of the Three Peaks and Barbanfell in Cumbria. It goes without saying that it’s super well-placed for exploring the great outdoors.
The final part of your prize is a tour of Ingleborough Caves. Venture 500 metres underground into one of the UK’s most jaw-dropping natural wonders, marvelling at otherworldly stalactites.
