Forget choosing one dish and spending the night fending off forks. If you’re our lucky winner, you’ll get to try out the Indulgent Festive Menu at Fogo de Chão. It’s a dinner designed to be shared, with grilled Brazilian meats brought continuously to your table, generous sides and plenty to talk about between servings.
Your meal begins at the Market Table, where you can build your own plate from a colourful selection of seasonal salads, fresh vegetables, cheeses, charcuterie and Brazilian favourites such as feijoada. Traditional sides, including fries and warm pão de queijo, are brought to the table to share.
For Christmas, the restaurant is giving its Churrasco Experience a festive twist. Alongside its Brazilian favourites, you can tuck into churrasco turkey with cranberry, Fogo’s signature pigs in blankets, Parmesan Brussels sprouts, mulled braised cabbage, Wagyu fat roast potatoes and plenty of gravy.
And then the magic begins. Fogo de Chão’s gaúcho chefs move around the restaurant with skewers of seasoned meats, grilled to perfection then carved straight onto your plate. Expect a succession of cuts including picanha, fillet, lamb and chicken, with the open-fire cooking technique creating a salty outer crust and while keeping the meat juicy inside.
There’s no need for everyone to eat the same dish or even dine at the same pace. The continuous, table-side service keeps new cuts arriving throughout the meal, making dinner feel relaxed, theatrical and naturally sociable. Add in a bottle of Catena Paraje Altamira Malbec and you have all the ingredients for a festive dinner to remember.
