The Roundhay Fox
Head to The Roundhay Fox for a cosy pub lunch that’s set to go down a treat. For £59.95 a head, you’ll get a three-course meal that features all the classics you know and love. Start with pan-seared scallops or wild boar ravioli before moving onto your main. You can keep it traditional with their hand-carved turkey breast with all the trimmings or mix it up with a seafood medley of roasted monkfish and tempura prawns. And for pudding, you can dive into a rich dark chocolate mousse, Christmas pudding or banana sticky toffee pudding, followed by a hot drink and petit fours. Malmaison will be serving a luxurious five-course dinner this Christmas. First, you’ll get a glass of champagne and black truffle arancini, then their meal starts in earnest. Afterwards, you can enjoy a traditional turkey dinner or go for something a little bit different, like the baked black truffle and potato gnocchi. Be sure to save space for dessert because you can feast on white chocolate cheesecake, Christmas pudding or a selection of artisan cheeses. Finally, finish with hot drinks, chocolate truffles and a Christmas-themed liqueur. It all comes in at £89 for adults and £45 for kids.

If you want a hearty Christmas Day dinner in Leeds that won’t break the bank, head to Lawnswood Arms for a four-course menu that comes in at £45.99 for adults and just £15.99 for kids. You can choose from chicken liver pâté, smoked salmon or stilton and peppercorn mushrooms to start before you wolf down classics like hand-carved turkey and cranberry & orange glazed pork belly. Then it’s time for pudding. You can gorge on profiteroles filled with Irish cream or a shimmering berry cheesecake, followed by hot drinks and the all-important mince pies.

You can get slow-cooked lamb shank with roasties, Yorkshire puds and seasonal veg or keep it traditional with a turkey dinner and all the trimmings. Miller and Carter are serving a five-course Christmas lunch for adults and a smaller four-course menu for kids. You can get a traditional turkey dinner, a 30-day aged steak & seafood duo or a baked beetroot and camembert tart. Save space for pudding, they have a twist of your usual Christmas pud or a can’t-make-up-your-mind taster plate, followed by coffee and macaroons. Why not spend Christmas Day surrounded by 1920s grandeur at Browns? They’ve put together a five-course menu that’s £80 for adults and £35 for kids. You can start with smoked salmon or a pear and stilton tart, then it’s on to a turkey dinner with all the trimmings – or if you’d prefer, a hearty vegetarian wellington. When it comes to pudding, you’re spoilt for choice – will it be a traditional Christmas pudding or a white chocolate snowball mousse? And for the grand finale, you’ll get a cheeseboard for the table followed by hot drinks and mince pies.

This Christmas, head to The Cow & Calf to enjoy your festive lunch up on Ilkley Moor. They’re offering four courses for £68.95 and a three-course kids menu for £29.95. Kick off with dishes like a duo of pâté served with Bramley apple sauce or honey-roasted pear and Parma ham. For the main event you can wolf down turkey, steak or lamb and if you want to go meat-free, they have a roasted root vegetable & mixed nut roast. Dessert-wise, you’re looking at Christmas pudding or dark chocolate marquise before the grand finale, a British cheeseboard loaded with four different varieties.

Brasserie Blanc has put together a six-course menu with a touch of French class. You’ll begin with pumpkin, almond and kirsch soup before continuing with a vegetable escabeche or salmon trio. Their kir royal sorbet offers a refreshing interlude before you gorge on Christmas pudding or chocolate feuillantine for dessert. Get the mushroom tart with seasonal veg, parsely-glazed potatoes and gravy. There’s carbonara, Bolognese and marinara, alongside festive pizzas and sirloin steaks – you can even create your own DIY pizzas, so it’s perfect for picky eaters. For dessert, try the mulled spiced fruit crumble or the morello cherry cheesecake, followed by one final nod to Italy, in the form of amaretti biscuits and a shot of limoncello.

As for desserts, you’re looking at a classic Christmas pudding, an amaretto snowball or a salted caramel billionaire’s gold bar with strawberry sauce. All this comes it at just £44.95, so it’s not going to break the bank either.

Throw yourselves back a few decades with Leeds’ only 80s-themed Christmas Day lunch. Crowne Plaza has created a five-course menu inspired by the era. Start with prawn and avocado cocktail or fig and blue cheese salad, followed by cream of leek soup and the main event. You can feast on turkey, rib of beef, baked hake or roast parsnip and cheddar tart, served with all the trimmings, before tackling your dessert. There’s Christmas pudding or dark chocolate delice, as well as a loaded cheeseboard. Then to finish, you’ll get hot drinks and mince pies. It comes in at £65 for adults and £35 for kids.

For a French take on Christmas dinner, head to Kendells Bistro. Their five-course menu comes in at £90 per person and it’s worth every penny. After your amuse bouche, you can choose from a range of starters, including French onion soup and braised ox cheek croquette. For mains, you can scoff pepper crusted sirloin of beef, aubergine Charlotte or a full turkey dinner. If you fancy something sweet for pudding, go for the vanilla and lemon cheesecake or their French cheeseboard with camembert and roquefort. And to finish the night? Coffee with mince pies and petite fours. Voila!

For your main, there’s a traditional turkey dinner with Cumberland pigs-in-blankets, but if you’re avoiding meat, there’s always the mushroom nut wellington with heritage potatoes and onion gravy. Afterwards, you can fix your sugar cravings with apple tart or and raspberry & coconut sorbet, then finish with coffee and macaroons.

Not only are Thorpe Park Hotel serving a five-course Christmas lunch, but they’re also bringing in Santa for a visit. After canapés, you’ll move onto starters like beetroot cured salmon and chicken liver parfait, followed by sea bass, smoked salmon and spring onion fishcakes or gnocchi with squash, mushrooms and toasted pumpkin seeds. Then for your main, you can go for a traditional turkey dinner, roasted beef or a winter veg and chestnut filo tart, before finishing with a Yorkshire cheeseboard or a Christmas pudding. It comes in at £110 for adults, including a glass of champagne, and £57 for kids.

Why not round up the whole family for a Christmas lunch at Hawthrone Arms? Get things started with chicken liver pâté or stilton and peppercorn mushrooms before the main event. They’re doing a proper Christmas Day carvery with a choice of four slow-cooked meats, but don’t worry if you’re veggie, because you can tuck into a beetroot, butternut squash and cranberry wellington. As for pudding, there’s a proper Christmas pudding or a billionaire bar made with cookies, salted caramel and chocolate ganache. The best bit? You can get all three courses for just £49.99.
