It’s good news for wine lovers, as the owners of Bottle Chop are opening a new bar on Call Lane! Smack bang in between 92 Degrees and Underground Bakery, it’s set to be the next go-to place for everything natural wine.
Not much has been revealed yet, but if we go off Bottle Chop’s offering, we can expect a deli stacked with cheeses and charcuterie, local craft beers, biodynamic wine and much more.
Rinse Natural Wine will be opening on 9 Call Lane, date TBC.
The Highland
Empire Cafe owners will give the Highland on Cavendish Street a new lease of life early this year. The former Tetley’s pub closed in 2023, but Sam Pullan and Nicole Deighton plan to retain its original features.
When we spoke to Sam, he told us to prepare for a good old-fashioned pub that cooks high-end food at a reasonable price. We can’t wait!
The Highland will be opening on 38 Cavendish Street, date TBC.
Cheesy Living Co.

That’s right, Leeds legends Cheesy Living Co are opening their third store! They’ve already made waves in Leeds Corn Exchange and Oakwood, and are set to do the same at another undisclosed location.
They’ll offer all the delicious items that have made them a favourite in the city, from focaccia sandwiches to build-your-own cheeseboards.
Cheesy Living Co’s new location and opening date are TBC.
Insomnia Cookies
Insomnia Cookies are coming to Leeds! The American favourite already has locations in Sheffield and Manchester, but this time, it’s Leeds’ turn for delicious, freshly baked goodies.
You’ll find them in St John’s Shopping Centre, with everything from double chocolate chunk to Biscoff deluxe to choose from. The best bit? Their locations stay open and deliver until 3am, so you can always get your late-night fix.

Stocked.
The brains behind Slow Rise Bagels are set to open a new type of creative space in Horsforth this spring.
Not much has been revealed yet, but according to their Instagram page, Stocked will be a place where we can shop independent brands and local makers, learn new skills and forge connections with the wider community,

Alfonso’s
We’ve seen Alfonso’s pop up at various locations across the city before, but this spring, they’re set to open a permanent bodega deli in the city centre!
Alfonso’s comes from the team behind Koben Smokehouse and Thiccc Sauce. They promise to cook up the tastiest Cuban sandwich Leeds did ever see, along with smoked meats, coffee and more.
Alfonso’s Deli will be opening in Leeds city centre this spring.
