Meat carved at your table, warm pão de queijo and a colourful Market Table – dinner at Fogo de Chão is a feast designed for sharing.
At Fogo de Chão, the food comes to you. Gaúcho chefs move around the restaurant serving a succession of grilled meats, while generous sides and Brazilian-inspired dishes fill the table. It’s relaxed, theatrical and offers far more to discover than a traditional steak dinner.
It’s an experience Leeds diners might already recognise. Fazenda first opened its doors in the city in 2010 and soon became a staple of the city’s dining scene. Now, the restaurant has entered a new chapter as Fogo de Chão – joining a Brazilian churrasco brand founded by two brothers in 1979.
The name may have changed, but the same Leeds team, chefs and much-loved dining experience remain. Here’s what that means for your next visit.
A new name, but the same restaurant you know and love
If you were a fan of Fazenda, there’s no need to worry – the restaurant you know hasn’t disappeared. It became part of the Fogo de Chão family in 2024 and now has officially taken on the Fogo name, but the familiar faces, warm hospitality and table-side churrasco experience remain the same.
That includes key members of the Leeds team such as Batista – the restaurant’s award-winning gaúcho chef and Head of Grill. He’s still at the grill, bringing that same skill and knowledge to each and every cut he serves.
Fogo de Chão and Fazenda have been carefully aligning their menus behind the scenes since 2024, building on the experience diners know and love rather than starting again. As Managing Director UK & Europe Terence Langley explains: “Becoming fully part of Fogo allows us to further elevate the guest experience, bringing even more of the warmth, tradition and hospitality that define Brazilian churrasco.”
From Leeds-born Fazenda to Brazilian heritage

Fazenda’s story began right here in Leeds, where its first restaurant opened back in 2010. It soon became a key part of the city’s dining scene, and its local history hasn’t been forgotten. This next chapter brings it together with a Brazilian brand that has been perfecting the art of churrasco for almost 50 years.
Fogo de Chão was founded in southern Brazil in 1979 by two brothers who grew up on a traditional farm. Its approach is rooted in the region’s gaúcho heritage – the cowboys who spent their days tending cattle across the vast plains of the Pampas, cooking large cuts of meat over open fire and gathering with their communities to share food and good times.
It’s this generous, social spirit that Fogo de Chão aims to bring to every visit. Expect grilled meats, warm Brazilian hospitality and memorable shared moments, whether you’re visiting for a midweek lunch or celebrating a special occasion.

So, what sets Fogo de Chão apart from a traditional steakhouse? Instead of choosing a single steak, the Full Churrasco brings a succession of grilled meats to your table, from picanha, fillet and ribeye to lamb, chicken and pork.
The Full Churrasco costs £40 at lunch and £55 at dinner – around what you might pay for a single steak at a premium steakhouse. Fries, side dishes and visits to the Market Table are included too, offering plenty of variety and value for money.
The Market Table is a colourful spread of fresh, seasonal dishes and Brazilian staples, including feijoada (Brazilian black bean stew) and pão de queijo (Brazil’s famous cheese bread). You’ll find new additions elsewhere on the menu too, such as lobster mac & cheese, made with Butter-Bathed™ lobster, rich cheese sauce and panko breadcrumbs.
Want to go all out? For just £20, you can upgrade to the Indulgent Churrasco Experience, which serves up the full churrasco experience plus your choice of lobster, snow crab, queen scallops or caviar, followed by dessert.
