Six wonderful new openings are heading our way!

Mythos, gyros

A bar, two restaurants, a gym and a duo of must-visit shops for fashion lovers – they’re all coming to Leeds in 2023.

Here we have another horde of impending arrivals planning their next moves in Leeds for you to devour. And what a horde it is. There’s a new Chapel Allerton restaurant, a craft beer bar in Adel, a pair of new city centre shops and a gym with the city’s buzziest bakery inside. But that’s just a taste of what’s to come over the next few months – read on to get all the details.

Meanwood Brewery Tap

Meanwood Brewery is one of the best breweries to open in Leeds in recent years, with its Terminus Tap Room in Meanwood a fine spot for quaffing their range of delicious craft beer. Now building on that success, they’re branching out further into North Leeds, by taking over the former Cranberries Deli in Adel to open their first standalone bar. Expect thirst-quenching brews on cask and keg, foodie pop-ups and a whole host of special events.

Meanwood Brewery Tap is opening in Adel later in 2023.

Olive & Thai

Thai food

The former Simpatico in Queens Arcade will not be empty for much longer. It will soon be home to the city’s newest Thai restaurant – introducing Olive & Thai. That name might ring a bell and it should – it will be the sister venue to next-door neighbours, Olive & Rye. You can look forward to a laid-back, two-floor restaurant where a menu of Thai classics will sit alongside the chance to dine at city’s first Thai Chef’s Table experience.

Olive & Thai will open in Queens Arcade later in 2023.

Blue Rinse

Blue Rinse

Blue Rinse is the leading name in vintage fashion in Leeds, and it’s now preparing to open its second city centre shop, with a new Merrion Centre home joining its Call Lane HQ. This 3,679-square-foot unit, formerly home to Kilo, will house a vast collection of hand-picked vintage clothing, including their trademark ‘Remade in England’ range of upcycled and repurposed vintage garments, alongside exclusive lines and one-off pieces you’ll only find here.

Blue Rinse is opening in Merrion Centre in April 2023.

UltraFlex & The Savvy Baker

The Savvy Baker at Multistories

There’s a new 25,000-square-foot fitness studio opening in North Leeds in the coming weeks. Ultraflex Gym positions itself as an ‘iron paradise’, featuring state-of-the-art fitness equipment, alongside sun beds, saunas, ice baths and more. The kicker? Viral baking sensation The Savvy Baker is opening their first Fuelled cafe inside – expect protein brownies, energy balls and low-carb treats alongside original creations for cheat days and North Star coffee.

UltraFlex & The Savvy Baker is opening at Limewood Centre, Seacroft in Spring 2023.

Sour Cherry Jewellery

After the huge success of their Victoria Leeds pop-up in December 2022, the much-loved jewellery brand Sour Cherry will be making the move to Leeds on a permanent basis this year. They’re adding to their current Afflecks location in Manchester at a to-be-confirmed spot in Leeds city centre in the coming months, so you can soon look forward to being able to pick up all manner of handmade perspex and sterling silver jewellery.

Sour Cherry Jewellery is opening in Leeds later in 2023.

Their Burley takeaway earned them a reputation as one of the best in Leeds, now Mythos is opening its first bar and restaurant in the coming months. They’re set to take over the former Dapur Malaysia in Chapel Allerton and they’re bringing their famous gyros with them. These delicious Greek kebabs come loaded with fresh meats, veggies, tzatziki and chips inside a hot pita, but you can also look forward to a host of Greek classics, cocktails and craft beers.
