Rug tufting at Huffletuft
When a rug tufting craft workshop arrived in Leeds, we knew we had to try it for ourselves. You’ll find Huffletuft in Open Source Arts, just on the outside of the city centre. It’s run by Alex, who was inspired to bring the craft to the city by his wife Bei’s love of tufting.
First up, you’ll choose your design and get it sent over to Alex before your session. When you arrive, it’ll be drawn on the canvas for you, ready for you to get started with the most exciting bit – the tufting gun. Tuft, cut and glue your way to rug perfection, with Alex on hand to help at any time. It’s great fun but does take a few hours to complete, so bear that in mind.
