Monster Kidz

Monster Kidz soft play is one of the best in Leeds. They’ve got two locations, both ideal for burning energy when the weather’s a bit rubbish. Their state-of-the-art playground is large, colourful and has lots to entertain, with designated zones for babies, toddlers and juniors up to 12 years old.
There are tunnels to crawl through, slides to whirl round and platforms to climb – perfect for little imaginations to run wild in. You can grab a seat in the central seating area, use the super-fast wifi and sip on a hot drink while the kids laugh and play to their heart’s content.
Best for: Children of all ages and parents who want to relax while the kids explore.

Kids Clubhouse

Kids Clubhouse is the perfect spot for indoor days out for all ages in Leeds, catering for children up to the age of 12. Their play facilities focus on keeping kids as active as possible – your little monsters could be racing around the kart track one minute and whizzing down the wavy slides the next.
There are separate, dedicated play areas for the under-twos and the two to four-year-olds, with sensory toys, slides and ball pits to explore. Hungry? The cafe is top-notch, serving a range of proper hot meals as well as coffee and snacks to keep you and the kids going.

There’s a kids’ indoor playground just waiting to be explored at Sunny Bank Mills. It’s one of the smaller soft play centres in Leeds, but Jackaboos still boasts three levels of play frame fun. We’re talking slides to barrel down, ball pits to plunge into and trampolines to bounce away on – perfect for wearing out little legs.
The frame is in the middle of the room, so you can see your mini-humans wherever they are as you sip on a much-needed coffee. Kids can also play in the only Wow Toy Play Zone in Leeds, which is populated with toddler-friendly toys and play mats.

Munchkins Soft Play

Munchkins in Morley is home to a three-level play structure that includes all the classic elements of soft play, from a ball pool to trampolines, tunnels and a multi-lane wavy slide. There’s also a dedicated soft play area for under-2s, with its own ball pool, ride-on rockers and a smaller slide.
Meanwhile, the cafe offers good visibility over the entire play area, with plenty of hot and cold food and drink options for you to enjoy while the little ones play. The venue offers parties outside of normal opening hours, so that’s your little one’s next birthday sorted.

With bridges, slides and tubes aplenty, children aged 8 and under can have a full-on adventure at Junglecatz in Morley. For the grown-ups, the seating area has been made ultra comfy, so you can enjoy a little something from the cafe while the kids are kept busy.
They hold regular classes for both adults and children, including dance, exercise and messy play, as well as special events throughout the year, like themed activities and craft sessions. Their dedicated party room even has a light-up dancefloor for a birthday party they’ll remember.

Looking for a way to entertain under-fives on a rainy day? Tiny Boo is just the place. It’s a beautifully designed, small but perfectly formed, indoor playground for your little ones. There’s a mini slide, fish bowl windows to peer out of, a net bridge to conquer, and lots of toys, all made to help build confidence and independence in your tiny tots (and to wear them out!).
While they don’t have a cafe on site, Assembly Bar + Kitchen is in the same building and they’ll happily bring your tea and sandwich to you while you watch your kids in Tiny Boo. How’s that for service?

Little Burrowers

Little Burrowers is a tiny bit different from the other soft play centres in Leeds. There’s a soft play sensory room for babies up to the age of 18 months, filled with colour, light, sound and texture to engage the senses and help improve motor skills and visual processing abilities.
For older kids up to preschool age, they can role play as hairdressers, vets and firefighters in the George Town Play Village – a wonderland of mini-shops and more designed to ignite the imagination. There’s a view-side cafe, so you can enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake too!
Best for: Sensory play for little ones and imaginative fun in the George Town Play Village.

Tumble Town Adventure Play

Tumble Town Adventure Play is an independent indoor soft play centre in Guiseley, with play facilities for babies and children up to 6 years of age. Young ‘uns can have oodles of fun in a safe, clean and fun environment for up to two hours in the soft play structure. With slides and loads of things to climb on and clamber over, it’s bound to keep even the most adventurous of children busy.
Their supervised baby and young toddler area will give you some peace of mind, while you can grab a slice of cake and a cuppa from the cafe – it’s perfect for days out with the kids in Leeds.
Best for: Safe, clean fun for kids up to six years, and a great way to support an independent business.

The Hidden Village

The Hidden Village is home to one of the best soft play activity centres in Leeds – and you can find it in the heart of the city centre. It’s a children’s play town, café and boutique toyshop on The Calls. They run two child-led play sessions a day, suitable for children from walking upwards.
Little ones can serve meals at the Courtyard Cafe, investigate crime sheets at the police station, style tresses at Waves Salon and so much more as they bring the grown up world to life for the kids. If you’re one of those grown ups, kick back and enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat in the on-site cafe.
Best for: City-centre play that will really spark their imagination.

Little Leeds is great for both adults and kids alike. It’s from the same people behind The Leeds Deli, and was devised as a space for friends to gather while their children can play together. Tastefully designed with Scandi-inspired wood, you’ll find slides and miniature climbing walls as well as reading nooks and oodles of books.
They run a fun-filled programme of regular family-friendly events, from toddler yoga and film clubs. Plus, they have a fab menu for on-site dining – think all-day brunch favourites, pizzas and salads to keep everyone happy.
Best for: A gorgeous play space filled with plenty of family events and delicious on-site food.
How much? £6.50 for 1 adult & 1 child (6+ months), £2.50 for additional siblings, and £1 for additional adults.

Rugratz Play Gym

If your kids are wanting to let off some steam, there’s no better place than Rugratz. You’ll find it in Armley, where children of all ages are welcome to jump, climb and slide their way to happiness. It has a dedicated area for under twos, with slides, a ball pit and more for the nippers to tire themselves out on.
For older children, there’s a large play space including a crawl tube, arial glider and cargo nets, not to mention a mini football pitch and a basketball court. Grown ups can take a seat in the cafe and make use of free wifi – it’s a win-win, really.
Best for: A space where kids of all ages can properly let off some steam.
