Call Lane’s slice of Latin America, Revolución de Cuba is the go-to spot for rum-monkeys wanting their fix of a Havana-themed evening – centred around, you guessed it, rum. It’s a homage to their national drink, so for £25 per person at the weekend or £30 during the week, their resident Cantineros will train you in the art of Mojitos, Daiquiris, and Cuba Libres complete with nachos, games and loads of fun. For £25 per person, you’ll get nibbles on arrival, before you mix a trio of concoctions in their VIP area. With classics alongside their own unusual creations, there’s sure to be something you want to learn. For £10 extra, you can enjoy a sharing meat and cheese platter and a glass of prosecco on arrival.

You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to cocktail masterclasses at Bar Soba. Starting from £35 a head, you’ll get an interactive class lasting 90 minutes, including two cocktails each. Better still, if you’re in groups of four or more, you can ask for your favourites, and if you’re a competitive bunch, you can split up into teams and compete against each other for mixology medals. The kicker here is the food – for the £35 class you get loaded fries and shrimp crackers, £40 gets you a section of small plates and for £45, enjoy two a la carte courses.

They have three different ‘cocktail workshops’ for you to choose from – you can enjoy a journey through juniper to plot the evolution of gin, take your tonsils on a wander through whiskey wonders or work your way through four of your favourites as part of their DIY session which acts as a crash course into the world of mixology. You can even tailor classes to your favourite spirit or cocktail. Each one lasts two hours, is for eight to eighteen guests, and costs £30 per person.

Famous Leeds rock bar Mojo promises ‘Good Times’ with their cocktail masterclass package. These fun-filled sessions last two hours and cover cocktail mixing and sampling. You’ll learn how to shake up their legendary cocktails with one of their expert bartenders, as well as picking up some of the secrets of the trade. There’s even a touch of competitiveness thrown in for good measure with cocktail-making competitions and loads of games. You can knock back up to five drinks for £35 per person, with food a little extra.

Hosted by their resident cocktail shakers and stirrers, you can look forward to a fun, interactive session which kicks off with a welcome drink. You’ll quickly move on to a spirit tasting and a detailed exploration of cocktail base components, before you get to try your hand at making, shaking and tasting three of their signature cocktails as well as one brand new one of your own making. You have two options when it comes to cocktail-making classes at Greek Street staple All Bar One. Their Classic Cocktail Masterclass will see you get to grips with three of your favourite cocktails for £25 per person – you can pore over their menu ahead of your visit and choose your trio of treats to stick your twist on. Want a little more? You can get Bellinis all round on your arrival to the session for an extra £5 a head – choose from white peach, mango, strawberry or raspberry for the perfect class kick off.

Each session is filled with a variety of games, so you can get competitive in groups of six or more to see who makes the best concoctions.
