Ice Scoop Gelato is one of the best places for ice cream in Leeds. They have a slew of flavours, all made in house on the day, like Ferrero Rocher and Kinder Bueno. If you fancy something a little bit adventurous go for the salted caramel, or how about one that’s a bit fruity? The mango & passionfruit will do the job. Amorino’s reputation precedes it. They’re famous for their traditional Italian gelato, which comes in a range of weird and wonderful flavours. You can try the likes of Banana del Brasile and Dulce de Leche, all served up in epic style – their Conos promise a chocolate cone with your choice of flavours presented in the shape of a gelato flower. If you’re not feeling the ice cream, they also do waffles, macarons and crepes.

Afterz Dessert Parlour
During the day, Afterz is the perfect place to get some refreshing ice cream with the kids. But, it’s also a late night cafe, which means you can go in and satisfy your midnight munchies with some incredible ice cream flavours – think Curly Wurly, Toffee Crisp and Skittles. That’s not all, as they do a pretty tempting menu of candy shakes, waffles and majoun, a Moroccan jelly-like sweet.

You can indulge in luxury gelato at Heavenly Desserts. They have 15 different creamy scoops waiting for you, with classics like Madagascan vanilla alongside more unusual flavours like white chocolate and Caribbean coconut. You can pair yours with sweet treats like cookie dough and brownies, but don’t forget about their sundaes. The Royale piles up hazelnut ice cream with Ferrero Rocher and crunchy nuts, all smothered in a rich, chocolatey sauce.

Fusion Gelato is a treasure trove of ice cream. They serve up traditional Italian gelato, and have loads of flavours. From mango to pistachio, Snickers to cookies and cream, you can mix and match up to four scoops. Want something a little bit more extravagant? Choose from a mouthwatering selection of sundaes, like the Tropical Paradise, which is packed with banana, coconut and mango gelato, fresh fruit and syrup. The Ice Cream Parlour
If you’re at White Rose Centre and get a sudden urge for some ice cream, you’re in luck. The Ice Cream Parlour has 18 flavours for you to work through. From mint chocolate chip to raspberry ripple, bubblegum and pistachio, they do the classics and they do them well. They also offer milkshakes, smoothies and a chocolate fountain, which you can pour over your ice cream.

Berry’s Gelato is the place to go for traditional Italian ice cream. They’ve got some incredible flavours that will make it hard to choose – think cookies & cream, chocolate heaven and strawberry delight. You can top it with a Flake, marshmallows or fresh fruit, but that’s not all. You can also get one of their special sundaes like The Great Knickerbocker Glory, which comes with sliced fruit and strawberry, vanilla and chocolate gelato, drizzled with strawberry syrup. To go with your ice cream, they’ve also got treats like Belgian waffles, cookie dough and cakes on the menu.

You’ll find Sundae’s Gelato in Headingley’s Republic of Pizza. Their ice cream is handmade fresh each day and there are up to 36 different flavours for you to choose from. Keep it simple with classics like cherry, vanilla and banana or go for one of their more extravagant sundaes, like the Kinder Bueno, which combines their their signature Bueno-flavoured gelato with Kinder chocolate, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Kaspa’s is a haven for ice cream lovers. They’re currently running a reduced menu, but still have loads of different sundaes to tempt you in, from classics like the Banana Split, with strawberry slices, vanilla ice cream, syrup and sprinkles, to the Mango Mania, with Alphonse mango ice cream, fruit pieces and mango syrup. Got room for more? Their Birthday Extravaganza promises 12 scoops of ice cream on a bed of waffles with whipped cream, syrup, sprinkles and wafers – might want to bring a couple of pals along with you for that one.

Want to try something a bit different? Head to Ice Stone Gelato where you can devour over 30 crazy flavours.
