From your favourite city centre spots to what you’d change about Leeds, we want to hear your views.

Whether you live in the city, the suburbs, or simply commute into Leeds for work, we’ve all got our opinions on city life. We’re giving Leeds-List readers the chance to help shape a new snapshot of life in Leeds through the latest City Index – a city-wide survey created in partnership with LeedsBID.

Help us take the temperature of Leeds

Leeds is a city that’s constantly evolving. New businesses open their doors every week, neighbourhoods continue to grow, and our train station is one of the busiest and best-connected terminals in the North. But what do the people who live and work in the city really think of it?

The Leeds City Index has been designed to capture those views. Through a short survey, we’re asking people about everything from their favourite shops, bars and restaurants, to how they travel into the city, what excites them about Leeds, and what they’d most like to see improved.

Why we’re doing it

Created in partnership with LeedsBID, the survey will help build a clearer picture of how people experience the city today. The findings will highlight what Leeds is doing well, where there are opportunities to improve, and what matters most to the people who live, work and spend time here – helping inform conversations about the city’s future.

This is the first edition of what we hope will become a regular survey tracking the mood of the city, so we’d love as many people as possible to take part.

The survey should take around five minutes to fill in, and every completed entry will go into a prize draw to win a £100 Victoria Leeds gift card.
