Rose & Thorn Tattoo
Part of Bramley’s Swinnow Grange Mills, Rose & Thorn was established in 2017 and has been an integral part of the Leeds tattoo scene ever since. It’s home to five resident artists, all with different styles, from fine line florals to traditional snakes and daggers.
The interior is rustic and cool, with exposed pipes, bare floorboards and, of course, art plastered all over the walls. They even share a space with Gray’s Salon, so how about a manicure afterwards to complete the look?
Rose & Thorn Tattoo, Unit 1a, Swinnow Grange Mills, Stanningley Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS13 4EP.
Red Tattoo and Piercing
Red Tattoo and Piercing are a stalwart of the scene in Leeds. They’ve been around since 2007, and they’ve found their forever home in the form of a light and airy studio in Leeds Corn Exchange. There are five resident artists, including owner Ruth Rollin, and they’ve got an eclectic mix of styles.
You could walk away with a medieval-style knight, a colourful neo-traditional portrait of your dog, a black stippled sword or a trad snake head. You can also grab ink from guest artists here too!
Red Tattoo and Piercing, Leeds Corn Exchange, 42 Call Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 7BR. Bookings are made through the individual artist.
Rude Studios
Rude Studios is one of the best tattoo studios in Leeds. They’ve got three locations across the city, and each one is purpose-built for your safety, comfort and privacy. They’ve got a couple of claims to fame too – they’ve tattooed actress Lena Headey and Olympic boxer Nicola Adams.

It’s a private studio owned by Olivia Fayne, the sole tattoo artist here. She designs ornamental, floral tattoos in a fine line, single needle style. You can grab a flash design from her store or work with her to create your own custom tattoo.
